Investment strategy

The “Fondation 2ème pilier swissstaffing” pension fund relies on a broad mix of diverse investments. These include stocks, bonds and property as well as alternative investments. The fact that the risk is spread over various investment categories means that members can expect above-average returns at minimal risk. The pension fund also monitors the performance of its investments so that it can respond immediately to changes of mood in the financial markets.

In 2023, the pension fund achieved a 4.85% return on its investments. According to the Occupational Pension Supervisory Commission (OPSC) report on the financial
situation of pension funds, the average performance in 2023 was 5.2%. The weaker performance of the swissstaffing Foundation was due to higher risks, notably the high equities content of its portfolio.

As the diagram shows, the bulk of the Foundation’s assets as of December 31, 2022, consisted of bond and stock investment funds.
