Disability and death cover
The pension plan also lets you select the level of risk cover (death and disability) by adjusting the risk contribution.
In the event of disability:
- Disability pension, calculated on the basis of projected retirement savings capital and the conversion rate; it amounts to at least 50% of insured pay or at least 60%, depending on the selected plan
- Pensions for children of invalided members
- Contribution waiver
In the event of death:
- Spouse’s pension or single lump-sum benefit
- Partner’s pension
- Orphans’ pensions
- Divorced spouses’ pensions
- Lump-sum death benefit for unmarried members
- An additional lump-sum death benefit is paid to the spouse, partner or children of the deceased; this corresponds to 50% of insured pay but is capped at 2.5 times the maximum reckonable annual pay defined by the Occupational Pensions Act (BVG/LPP).
